crashmattb & family think aloud: Just a Springtime Afternoon

  • Mom · 9 months ago
Wow! I cannot wait to see what plants there are in your yard. Everytime we've been there everything has been brown and dried up. Spring is so different there compared to Florida. On the upside, our orange trees are in full bloom and it smells so wonderful! I just love to ride to and from the house with all the windows down to take in all that sweet aroma.

Are Abby's eyes blue now?! Beautiful pics!

I was wondering the same thing about her eyes. Thought they were brown. Did daddy have a little fun with tweaking? Cute pictures, btw. Glad to see some pics of Toby!

You guys are giving me grief over her eyes...shame. Believe it or not, her eyes are actually blue...not brown. My eyes are blue, too. Alright, so I did do some processing on the photo, but the blue in her eyes came out when I adjusted the exposure. The color was already there, so all I did was just bring it back to visibility. Don't hate on the photographer, peeps! :-)

And I think we'll be bidding farewell to some of the flowers currently around the house. A storm front is heading our way and supposed to dump 2" or more in the next few days, which should wash away the not so sturdy ones. At least we got to snap a few photos when the weather was perfect.

Are you getting huffy puffy about our comments about her eyes? Awww, that's just cute. You are powerless against that little baby :). I like her eyes and hope they stayed blue although you probably wouldn't know until after the first year. Chase's eyes used to be kinda brownish green like Wil's and I was super jazzed about it. Now they are almost as dark as mine.

Yeah, her eyes are a touchy subject because I would love it if her eyes remained blue, even though I don't think they will stay that way. Some days, her eyes look so blue, but just last night they were looking more greyish-green. Jill's eyes are brown, and not that I don't think her eyes are beautiful, but since Abby looks so much like her momma I would like her to share at least a few of my better features. Unfortunately, those long toes and big feet that she shares with me aren't what I had in mind. ;-)

Good going passing your monkey toes to your daughter. Let's hope she lives somewhere cold and doesn't need flip flops often :). Wil kept harassing me about all these body parts of Chase's that he found funny. Now that she's bigger, we can actually see that those funny bits are clearly expressed through his genes. Word.

Boo Hoo for the April showers! I wanted to see the flowers... Can you send the rain down to us in Florida please? I believe it has rained enough in Marietta (okay, I know you all are still recovering from a drought!)

Maybe that rain will bring out more flowers for our visit in a couple of weeks.

Reminder that Jill's eyes were always very dark...looked black (hard to see her pupil b/c they were so dark), never a hint of anything else. Wes' were brown from the beginning too, but never as dark as Jill's. Abigail has blue genes (ha!) on both sides of her family. Great-great Grandpa Henriquez had blue eyes as well as my mother's dad. Nano Wayne has hazel eyes and so does my brother Buddy. If Abigail's eyes haven't darkened up by now, I believe it is safe to say that she will not have brown eyes like her Mommy. And yes, Jill does have beautiful brown eyes. I can remember from when she was a baby all of the compliments on her big brown eyes. LU brown-eyed girl!
